RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is for those interested in knowing more about the Catholic Faith or are considering becoming part of our faith community. The program provides the opportunity for candidates to come to know Jesus Christ with support from members of their family and the Parish. The group comes together on a regular basis and through discussion, reflection and prayer, journey together in search of faith and deeper understanding.
If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Catholic the first step is to make contact with your local Catholic Parish, or another Catholic Parish that you are likely to attend, by going along to Mass and asking to speak to the Parish Priest, or by phoning the parish office to make an appointment on (07) 4634 1453.
At a Catholic funeral the community gathers to celebrate the deceased's life and to say farewell and entrust that person to God's loving care.
In a case of bereavement please contact the Parish Office on (07) 4634 1453. Members of the Consolation Group will assist bereaved families to plan the Funeral Liturgy. They will meet with the family at the Presbytery to help them select the prayers, hymns and scripture readings from the Order of Christian Funerals. Bereaved families find this a difficult time and appreciate the help which the Consolation Group gives them.
